Itch Itch! Scratch Scratch! Bye Bye! – Tea Tree Oil

As a small kid I remember…I used to have hip-long air…my father was pretty fond of it so made let me have them…but soon I was agitated with managing of them and developed an itchy scalp…I wondered what was wrong with me…I used to scratch my scalp day and night…then one day my mother caught hold of me…and used this really narrow comb I had never seen before…to comb my hair…and to my absolute shock…i saw these tiny little insects trapped in the teeth of the comb…coming out of my hair…my mother called them ‘lice’…And she explained to me that how those parasites lived on by sucking my scalp’s blood…I started to detest the mites so badly that I asked mom to treat from thoroughly…and that’s when she used Tea tree oil in my hair for the first time…and no exaggerating…I was SO relieved…felt so light in the head…

So now you know what an old recipe it is to cure lice…had it not been my mom…I would’ve never known the cure to the pesky little creatures…

You might not be knowing this but once a child gets head lice…the mature or adult head lice can lay up to 10 eggs or nits each day…These nits…or lice eggs…hatch in about 7 to 12 days…Baby lice or term them nymphs…are about the size of a pinhead when they hatch…and quickly mature into adult lice in about a 9 to 12 days by sucking our blood (vampires!)

In just a few days… adult lice are ready to mate (imagine even creatures this small mate!)…starting their life cycle all over again during their 3 to 4 week lifespan…

And the rescuer is Tea tree oil…you know a kind of oil…that would keep the lice at bay if you do not have them and will ruin their being if you do have them

Even if you go out in the market today…you’ll find that most of the anti-lice products bear the name ‘Tea tree’ on them…and well then it shouldn’t surprise you

Wondering what makes this oil so distinct and useful?

Well…Tea tree oil is an extremely powerful antiseptic that is very effective in fighting lice and actually many other problems…

It’s distinguishing properties being that it is-

  • Bactericide
  •  Fungicide
  • Antiseptic
  •  Disinfectant
  • Antiviral

Not only this…If we go I detail then…It can be used to fight…

  1. Mites
  2. an infection
  3. against parasites

It even promotes the facilitation of…

  1. Healing
  2. Perspiration (makes us sweat)
  3. Supports the immune system.

Try diluting this amazing liquid with other liquids…and see the wonders it does for your hair and hair problems…but my personal recommendation for it…because I have been through it and Tea tree sincerely helped…It still continues to…Just maybe…you weren’t aware of the fact…

Anyway…now please check out our reference links…

Vapourize Those Boils With Tea tree oil

As if those ugly and pesky pimples were enough that another of its kind popped up (literally)…a boil…often people confuse boils with pimples…but let me make it clear in the very beginning…boils are a lot more grave than pimples…Okay on a serious note..what I mean is that boils are bigger and more painful than pimples..they are…in a way…the nurtured versions of pimples…bigger…uglier…more painful..thanks to the pus and that ‘eew!’ liquid filled in them…

Okay..getting down to the nitty-gritty…Boils are caused by a staph infection…The infection can occur almost anywhere on the body…and should be examined carefully…especially since the advent of penicillin resistant strains are becoming more common…you ought to keep an eye…

Hmm…Boils can be extremely painful (I mean EXTREMELY!)…Although they just seem like harmless pimples (Okay they are harmless but ugly looking)…they are filled with yellow-yellow liquid called ‘pus’ and apparently are unbearably painful when they pop-up on places like our ears…nose…fingers or even scalp…

Worse yet, a staph infection lies dead for lifetimes ( Again…not literally…was just exaggerating )…because it is shrewd enough to wait for us to fall sick and then attack…(remember hit when the iron is hot)…

Hmm…Now understand what Tea tree does to those ugly little things…

Apply tea tree oil on that boil…You know at the first signs they can be stopped (yes I mean it)..mainly when they are tiny…simply with an  hourly application of tea tree oil…

Keeping the infected area open…or rather exposed to air can be a lot more beneficial…then try following the activity by wrapping it with a gauze bandage…it’ll help..

Nothing acts better than Tea tree during the problem of a boil…it has this

  • Anti-fungal
  • Anti-septic

Quality that does wonders for the skin that is infected…

No matter what the reason of the occurrence of the boil..

  • an infection
  • hiking
  • working hard
  •  just repeated friction to some part of your skin

Tea tree just does wonders for the skin…by relieving the one applying from inflammation…burning…pain…sores…redness…blisters…Phew!

Tea tree oil will soothe and help speed the diminishing of the boil….while reducing the chance of infection due to its ability to stifle the growth of bacteria…fungus…and viruses…

If you apply tea tree oil to boils…you will most likely find that they will heal faster…with little or no itching and burning…and that is the absolute magic of Tea tree oil…

Tea tree…hence proved…is best to treat those ugly…bubbly…pus-filled boils…

In today’s world of storm and stress…the medical complications seems to be proliferating by the day..and that too ones which were never paid attention to…they resurrected to be greater and more stressing…one of those being Thrush…frankly I never knew it was called so…I mean I did have idea about something like this but didn’t know that it was called ‘Thrush’…I take this to my responsibility to make you all aware of it..

Okay…Oral thrush…also known as oral candidiasis is an infection of the genus Candida that develops on the mucous membranes of the mouth… yeast fungi… It is basically caused by this thing called Candida albicans..

It’s kind of disgusting and yucky…as it causes thick white or cream-colored deposits…most commonly on the tongue or maybe the inner cheeks….The sores are painful and may even bleed slightly when they are scraped or rubbed…The infected area may appear inflamed and red…

Most horrible thing about this is that it may even spread to the back of the throat or the upper portion of the mouth…

I know its surprising to know this but this fungus exists in almost all parts of out body…including the digestive system… skin and mouth…and as a matter of fact the healthy beings do not face any ailments…However…people on certain medications…reduced immune systems and certain problems are vulnerable to oral thrush which can and may get out of control…

Most vulnerable are the following ones..

  • Ones excessively using mouthwash
  • Ones on Steroid medication
  • Ones who wear dentures
  • Ones taking Antibiotics
  • Ones with a weak immune system
  • Ones with Diabetes
  • Ones having other therapies

This is one of the most effective natural remedies for in adults’ oral diseases…like one of them being Thrush..

Just to kill your apprehension about Tea tree’s oral use…try looking at the oral care section in the health food store and it would be evident that toothpastes…mouth rinses…and even toothpicks are made with tea tree oil specifically formulated for use in the mouth…

One major reason being..its anti-fungal quality…which acts best against such fungal infections…when used under proper supervision…Tea tree oil can scrape the whiteness from the mouth..you know I mean your coated tongue…

Tea tree acts as this liquids that when passes over the affected region…goes on eradicating the whatever unwanted microbes comes its way…rendering a cleaner and healthier mouth…its best use would be as a mouthwash when suffering from thrush…

A special advise for mothers who breastfeed – Try Using a couple of drops of pure tea tree oil mixed with coconut oil or olive oil and apply to the nipples after each feeding…Gently rinse nipples in warm water and pat dry before feeding when using tea tree oil applications…It makes the nipples devoid of dirt and infections…though it does have a very strong smell and taste..

Meet Tea Tree Oil

Before getting down to the nitty-gritty of Tea tree oil..Let me introduce this liquid to you…Its about moments when distressed and disappointed from everything else with little or no results…when it comes to personal care…we find refuge in ancient recipes..about which we had though heard a million times but ignored..considering them trivial..insignificant and fanatic..but when we do resort to those and start getting astonishing results…is the time we start to believe…..believe in the might..and bounty of nature…

Say hello to one such nature’s bounty…Tea tree oil..

Every great discovery has this little descriptive history behind it…no surprises…tea tree oil too has one..

The ones hailing from Bundjalung…eastern Australia utilized the tea tree by inhaling them…for them it was their traditional medicine…obtained from the crushed leaves treating coughs and colds….They also applied it’s leaves on wounds…after which a poultice is applied….In addition…The infusion of the leaves with certain liquids made the it even more powerful and it’s effects vigorous… as far as applying on the wounds was concerned..

Use of the oil of Tea tree wasn’t common at all until this researcher named Arthur Penfold published the first reports of its antimicrobial activity in a number of newspapers in the 1920s and 1930s….In going through the antimicrobial activity of M. Alternifolia tea tree oil was rated as 10 times more active than phenol…

And as far as the commercial tea tree oil industry is concerned…it happened after the medicinal properties of the oil were first reported by Penfold in the 1920s…It was produced from natural bush stands of M. alternifolia that produced oil with the appropriate chemo type…the plant material was cut by hand and often distilled on the spot in makeshift…mobile…wood-fired bush stills…

Hmm…Tea tree oil or melaleuca oil…is a pale yellow colour to nearly colorless and clear essential oil with a fresh camphor like odor…It is extracted from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia….which belongs to the northeast coast of New South Wales… Australia…Tea tree oil is often confused with tea oil….the sweet cooking oil from obtained from seeds of the tea plant…

You know how it got its name?

Actually…back then…the leaves of tea tree were used as a substitute for tea….and so it came to be known as teea tree oil…

Just a few of the many conditions it treats…

  • Vaginitis
  • Thrush
  • Periodontal disease
  • As an antiseptic
  • Acne
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Dandruff
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Yeast infection
  • Boils
  • Lice

So…intrigued? Well…so was I..take it to another level…have a look at these references..

Get Those Long Locks With Tea Tree Oil

As a kid I used to fantasize of having those long…lustrous tresses…which would obey me…and fall exactly at the place where I would want them to..be it my shoulders…or purely on my back…I wanted to have them but was too young (though I soon was allowed to keep them)…

One secret that I didn’t know was…That Tea Tree was magic liquid that eventually let me have those…My mom told me when I grew up….

But frankly…The secret to having long relaxed hair is knowledge…It’s all about knowing how to care for your straight or curly  hair for yourself and understanding your strands… Straight  hair is processed with chemicals to make it straight or to smooth out the kinks in natural hair…once this is done a relaxed head will require a different level of care than natural hair…it cannot be business as usual for your new hair…

And well..I know I was not the only one…Every woman today desires to have beautiful long hair and no one wants the greying to appear on her beautiful hair…But this requires especial hair care…I’ll teach you how…under the aegis of Tea tree oil…

Understand tea tree Oil

I am sure of you witnessing people with beautiful hair…and that enviousness that follows…They let out their secret and you are astonished…Tea Tree oil…but have you ever tried to find out what the benefits of tea tree oil are and why it is used in them….It is

  • The anti viral
  • Anti fungal
  •  Anti bacterial

These properties of tea tree oil makes it a vital for the hair growth….

Understand Why…

The anti fungal property of tea tree oil is very useful in preventing dandruff to grow on our scalp….thus keeping the scalp healthy and helping us to get rid of that flaky dandruff…The only thing you have to do is just massage tea tree oil on your scalp one hour before washing your hair and this will remove all the scalp problems like itching and dryness of the scalp…

And yes..you heard it just right…Massaging will give the protection from fungal growth as well as increase the blood circulation in the scalp too….Thus it is the most effective remedy to say good bye to dandruff and scalp problems….The anti fungal property effectively works towards protecting the scalp from any such problems…

Generally when we get up in the morning the hair are all tangled and messed up…It is really a pain to tame then and comb them too…But tea tree oil is the best solution to control those messy strands…

All you have to do is to take few drops of tea tree oil in your palm and rub both the palms together…so that the oil spreads on your palms and now apply this oil on the untamed strands...This can be used both for straight as well as curly hair…If you want that perfect clean look with your hair then take some more tea tree oil and rub it on the strand and start applying from the tips of the frizz towards the root of the hair…And you are sorted…seriously…

Breathe easy With Tea Tree Oil…Treating Asthma

Once there was this female in my grade…who didn’t know that she had asthma…and in a race..she enthusiastically participated…but at the end of it…she was terribly out of breath…she was baffled…she had ran so many other times but the ‘out-of-breath’ scenario wasn’t this terrible ever…so she was rushed in the ambulance to a nearby medical centre…doctor instantly diagnosed asthma…she was shocked…

But..with proper care and attention…she controlled it to quite an extent…

One of the reasons that she disclosed was…tea Tree Oil…She being a crusader of nature’s natural healers…

Here’s how…why…telling you…

Usually…This first inventor also comes from a family known for a long history of respiratory problems….Therefore….the inventors decided to look beyond conventional “modern medicine” to help the first inventor…and as a result…have conceived methods to substantially prevent colds…flu….and infections of the human respiratory system….

These methods include the inhalation of the vapours of tea tree oil that are theorized to form a protective…and infection-preventing…thin layer within the entire respiratory system…including

  • the lungs
  •  bronchial tubes
  •  the nasal cavities

okay…I’ll speak in pure professional language…stay glued and attentive…This thin layer maintains its anti-pathogenic properties for a period of time following the inhalation of the vapours for at least one-half hour…and perhaps longer….This thin anti-pathogenic layer substantially prevents the initial infection of colds…flu…and other pathogens for a period of time following inhalation…

The inventors also propose the prophylactic use of inhaled eucalyptus oil and/or tea tree oil to prevent additional tuberculosis…which is becoming a major health problem in the United States…The inventors further propose the prophylactic use of inhaled tea tree oil to prevent opportunistic infections of the human respiratory system of individuals having cystic fibrosis….

Now another known fact…While certain medical uses for tea tree oil have been previously disclosed….to the inventor’s best knowledge…none of those previously disclosed methods have suggested…or proposed… that the periodic inhalation of vapours from tea tree oil may be used as prophylactic agents to substantially prevent infection of colds…flu…and other pathogens within the respiratory system of human beings for a duration of time following that inhalation….After the infection of human beings with certain pathogens…previous inhalation therapies have suggested using tea tree oil to aid in the recovery from certain respiratory diseases….Though…none of these previous methods have suggested using tea tree oil vapours as prophylactic agents to routinely and substantially prevent the initial infection of pathogens for a duration of time following their inhalation as a primary method of preventing disease…

Understand??

Tea Tree – Extending A Helping Hand

TEA TREE – EXTENDING A HELPING HAND

Not for just one…two..rather…not just for any countable number of troubles but for almost anything and everything…Tea tree extends a helping hand for almost every human trouble…relating to the complex human body and its functioning…

You know this Tea tree grew in the islands of the south Pacific and Australia…Reason it bears the name ‘Tea tree’ is that…it’s bark….leaves……or twigs were initially used by settlers and travellers as a tea substitute…You know for making tea and all….

And a surprising fact is that the Australian tea trees…are not trees at all!

Rather they are green shrubs that grow in the wet-wet coastal regions of Australia….you now they are like these amazingly quickly growing plants and easily acquire a minimum height of 7 to 8 feet when mature….Australian tea trees have soft (wow! That’s unusual)…thick…white bark (I just fancied white barks as a kid) …and white flowers that bloom in the summer…pretty they are..

That was about the tree…The light yellow tea tree oil is obtained by steaming the tea tree leaves to bring out the oil which is used mainly in medicine…and yes…also for industrial lubricants and cosmetic products…The smell being somewhat like nutmeg…

It’s flushed with these medicinal properties because of this unusual chemical called terpenoid…. which when making up for at least 30 and preferably 40-50 of the oil…is when it can be considered medically useful….Tea tree oil contains yet another compound…cineole….which ideally should make up less than 15 and preferably 2.5 of the oil….

hmm…now let me disclose which I know you’ve been waiting to hear…Yes! Tea tree oil kills fungus and bacteria…even the ones resistant to certain antibiotics… Elaborative uses being…Tea tree oil is used outwardly as -

Some of its basic uses:

  • Treating athlete’s foot
  • For acne
  • Treating fungal infections of fingernails or toenails
  • For oral candidiasis (Though do spit it out)
